These terms cover your use of the Page Approval app for Confluence Cloud ("the app"), supplied by Kauê Natan Gonçalves Bidim, trading as Saoirse Software in Ireland ("we", "us"). Installing or using the app means you accept them.
A licence to use the app on the Confluence site it is installed on, for as long as your subscription is active, for your own internal business purposes.
The app is charged at the price shown on its Atlassian Marketplace listing. Billing, invoicing, taxes and refunds are handled entirely by Atlassian under the Atlassian Marketplace Terms of Use, and their rules take precedence over anything on this page about payment.
Atlassian's open-source, nonprofit and academic discount programs apply to this app: open-source projects use it free. Atlassian checks eligibility and applies the discount when you buy.
Nothing of yours is deleted, hidden or held hostage. Concretely, while a subscription is not active: the approval state on every page, the approval history and the space report keep working and stay visible — that is your own audit trail, and it is your record, not ours. Only writing is turned off: sending a page for approval, approving, requesting changes, changing who approves a page, and changing a space's defaults. Renewing turns them back on immediately; there is nothing to reinstall and nothing to restore.
We put this in writing because the opposite is the most common complaint in this category. An app that hides an approval record the moment a renewal is late turns a compliance tool into a liability, and we will not do it.
The app records who signed off which version of a Confluence page. It is not an electronic signature product with legal effect (that is a separate category of software), it is not a quality management system, and it is not legal, regulatory or compliance advice. It does not send email — see section 5. It does not archive, delete or clean up content. Deciding what must be approved, by whom, and what an approval means inside your organisation remains your decision.
We state this before you buy rather than letting you discover it. Atlassian's Forge platform does not let an app of this kind send email, so the app does not promise notifications it cannot deliver. Instead, what is waiting for a person is shown in Approvals in the top menu, with the number visible on the tab, and the status of every page in a space is on one screen in the space report.
The app runs on Atlassian's Forge platform and depends on Atlassian's infrastructure. We aim to keep it working and to fix problems promptly, but we cannot promise uninterrupted service and we do not control Atlassian's uptime or its APIs.
The app is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim connected to the app is limited to the amount you paid for it in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profits, or for a decision taken on the basis of an approval record. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Support is provided by email, in English, on business days. Write to support@saoirsesoftware.com. We aim to reply within two business days.
You can stop at any time by uninstalling the app from your Confluence site; billing stops under Atlassian's rules. Uninstalling removes the app's stored decision log for your site, so export the space report first if you need to keep it. Approvals held as a property of a page are removed with the app's data in the same way.
We may end this licence if the app is used in breach of these terms or of Atlassian's Marketplace terms.
If these terms change, the date at the top changes and the new version is published here. Continuing to use the app after that means you accept the new version.
These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, and the Irish courts have exclusive jurisdiction.
